It's hard to make American friends

Tags: Community, Identity, Education

Recorded at University of Pittsburgh on August 16, 2013
Description:
I found friends who are not bad, not good first time in America. When I was in Nepal, we had to go to business areas to find buses. In America we can find buses near our houses. There were no good facilities in schools there. In here it’s very good. After coming here to America I did not understand English, so they had to translate it in Nepali. The teacher might not know about my English problems, but my friends do. We are refugees. In school, I don’t have any American friends, but I have Spanish friends. To talk to American friends, you need English which I don’t understand.
