My invention is the Reading Scanner. The Reading Scanner will scan the page of a book and will read it aloud. The scanner uses special technology to read the words on the page. During this process, the scanned image goes through a small computer inside of it and processes it. The words are then sent through another computer which allows the product to speak. The scanner can also be used as a translator for foreign languages. It is used the same way. You put the scanner over the book or other type of reading and press the button to start the scan.
Many people of all ages would buy this product due to it being very useful. Parents could buy this for their small children who are just starting to read. It could help children learn, and it is good for busy parents. Some senior citizens would also buy this product so reading would be easier for them. Some people, like me, are just plain lazy. So, this product would also be good for people who actually want to find out what happens in a book, but they are too lazy to actually read the book.
My invention would be sold through advertisements on the television, and they would be sold at Wal-Mart and other stores that are alike. It will only be available in stores in the United States. It also may be able to ship outside of the United States sometime in the future. I imagine that this product would be sold for about $15.00. Shipping and handling may be charged also if it is ordered off of the television.
